10 Ways to Draw STEM Talent to Your Organization

Here we go:

  1. Be welcoming.

You want your organization to be attractive so that candidates from all backgrounds and situations prefer to work here.

  1. Be open and inclusive.

Meaning, create an environment in which every employee feels listened to and included.

  1. Be bias-aware.

You want your team to be aware of their biases so they don’t become barriers for others.

Do what it takes for every possible candidate to be aware of and attracted to your job posting.

  1. Provide support for various employee affinities.

This means, creating programs that bring employees together to share ideas and best practices.

This enables your full time workers to also raise families, to take care of elders, to be active in the community.

  1. Ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate and contribute.

Your leaders should take notice and actively make sure each person’s ideas are heard and their efforts recognized.

  1. Provide and encourage mentorship.

You want all employees to feel they are valued and assumed to have potential.

  1. Provide career guidance and professional development.

Because all your employees are respected and esteemed members of the team now and in the future.
